The Pro league tournament will consist of three stages; the Preliminary Stage, the Pro-League and the Knockout Stage.

The Preliminary stage

This will consist of a maximum of 32 people who will take part in a single elimination knockout stage. The first second and third will progress to the Pro-League.

The Pro-League

The Pro-League will be made up of the 3 qualifying players from the preliminary round, together with the five players who have already been chosen/seeded by District G

The league will consist of a round robin; with each player playing the other once.

A match will consist of best out of three games (first to two games).

Three points will be awarded for a match win, and an additional point for each game won in the match, e.g if a player wins a match 2-1 he will then receive five points whilst the losing player receives one point.

The winner of the Round Robin will win the Jackpot prize (£100).

The Knockout stage

The top four players from the Pro-League will proceed to the Knockout stage.

In the semi-final, the player who won/qualified first in the Pro-League will play the player who qualified fourth. And the player who qualified second will play the player who qualified third.

The winners of both semi-finals will proceed to the grand final.

CONSOLE: PS3 for Tekken 2

PLAYER CAP: Max 32 entrants for the Preliminary stage.

*Each match is FT2 games, each game is FT3 rounds, 80-sec time limit.

*For the first game in a new set: no character lock, and random stage select.

*For subsequent games within a set: only the loser of the previous game can change character (winner must remain with the same characters) and change to a specific stage (otherwise random stage).

*Changing order of characters (i.e. which character starts the round) can be changed at any time (e.g. hold TAG button after each round/game).

*Solo characters are allowed.

If a player is called out and doesn’t show up for their match within 2 minutes, they forfeit the match. For this reason it is recommended NOT to leave the tournament area until the current stage of the tournament has finished.

Players will have 30 seconds to choose their character from the character select screen. If both players are unable to select characters by then, then they must select the characters highlighted at the time invoked by the judge.

Blind pick available for character selection disputes, coin toss available for 1p/2p side disputes. Sides cannot be switched once a match starts.

The player MUST check button config before your match starts, then stop and restart the match.

Pausing (or pressing Home button) for any reason (including button config) means you forfeit the current round.

Please respect the players’ personal space (no close distractions or touching the players when they play)

For casuals, please vacate your spot (and wait in turn again) if somebody is waiting behind you. If nobody is waiting, then you can continue playing until someone steps up, but the loser is determined by the FIRST FT2 you play (the rest of the matches are merely “bonus matches”)
